Feltham Hill Nursery

Once Upon a Time Feltham Hill is situated on Ashford Road next to Oak Hill Academy in Lower Feltham. The nursery is in easy access to public transport and has its own large car park.

We are a 36 place open plan nursery catering for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery is open Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year (Excluding Bank Holidays and Christmas Eve) 7.45am until 6pm. We offer the children a flexible free settling in period to get to know the staff, children and environment. We also offer a 5% sibling discount off the eldest child’s fees.

The setting is on one level in an open plan room with a separate area for under 2’s and direct access to our secure garden allowing for free flow. The garden has a large shelter to allow for outdoor play all year round along with a large sand pit and mud kitchen.

The setting has a High/Scope philosophy where children become independent thinkers and leaders of their own learning and play. The routine offers opportunities for free flow play as well as small group times with the children’s key person. We have a strong keyworker system in place with each keygroup having 2 keyworkers as a buddy system. We have a long standing established staff team who have a great wealth of knowledge and experience.

Staff carry out observations to plan appropriate next steps in the childrens learning and provide fun stimulating activities based around the child’s interests and development. We work closely with parents/carers at all times and include them in their children’s learning and development. The setting reflects the different cultures and religions of our local community and we celebrate many festivals and events at the nursery. The children also often go for trips to the local parks, shops and farm etc.

The setting is an inclusive setting with a qualified SEND Co-ordinator and works closely with a number of outside agencies to support children and their families. We have a cook that provides a fresh well balanced nutritional menu for the children and caters for any dietary requirements they may have in line with Healthy Early Years London. The children are provided with breakfast, a cooked lunch, tea and a snack during their day.

We have close links to the local community and work in partnership with Feltham Hill Infant and Nursery School, who offer drop off/pick up service to nursery age children.

We are graded GOOD by OFSTED in August 2023 and we are accredited as a Let’s Talk Together setting.
